Jose Mari Chan是菲律宾华裔（看上去应该姓陈），他是当地著名企业家，经营着该国最大的糖业公司，富甲一方。另一方面，自上世纪60年代开始，他就是菲律宾著名歌手、音乐创作人。Jose Mari Chan的歌曲基本都是用的英文，风格完全受西洋情歌的影响，动人作品无数。这张出版于1989年的《Constant Change》专辑是他的巅峰之作，销量达到菲律宾的“钻石”级别，即“白金”销量的十倍，据称可能是菲律宾史上销量最高的本土唱片。
除了菲律宾本国，Jose Mari Chan的作品在八九十年代也曾风靡整个亚洲地区，在香港，徐小凤、叶倩文、郭富城等人都翻唱过他的歌。郭天王翻唱的正是这张《Constant Change》里的大热单曲《Beautiful Girl》，而专辑的第八首《My Girl， My Woman， My Friend》也被香港华纳买来，给当时旗下的两员大将陈百强和林忆莲翻唱，即是收录在《梦了、疯了、倦了》里的那首深情对唱曲《我要等的正是你》。
这张专辑由菲律宾华纳出版发行，和当时的香港华纳和台湾飞碟一样，CD也是拿到韩国在韩国的T11线上压制的，CD包装上清楚写着Manufactured in Korea by SKC，这一下也是泄底：原来我们中国CD收藏者口中那条神圣无比的T113线，其实就是韩国的SKC。 |
